ABOUT US
Established in 2017 and named by combining ‘commodity’ and the Italian word for world, ‘mondi,’ Commondi was organized to evolve commercial trade. Our commercial activities include: (1) the mining, production, manufacturing, or purchase, then resale and shipment of raw materials, commodities, ingredients, finished products, byproducts, and recyclables (“Inventory”), (2) providing trade finance and supply chain finance solutions, (3) global logistics services, (4) supply chain as a service, and (5) commercial trade services.
Additionally, our proprietary Commercial Trade Management System (CTMS) ensures the essential aspects of Commercial Trade Transactions (“Transactions”) are efficiently planned, developed, financed, executed, and transparently reported. The CTMS optimizes the entire lifecycle of Inventory, including mining, production, manufacturing, storage, independent inspection, sale, purchase, export, shipment, import, resale, and end use. It is organized around our 5 Pillars of Commercial Trade: (1) Supply Chain Management, (2) Finance & Investment Management, (3) Compliance & Risk Administration, (4) Commercial Operations & Logistics, and (5) Giving Back through Commondi Cares.
The Commondi Supply Chain supports our catalog of agriculture, food, energy, metals, and minerals, through a portfolio of wholly owned subsidiaries. Each affiliate focuses on specific market sectors and ensures our Commercial Relationships (“Relationships”) have reliable access to Inventory that is thoughtfully sourced, adheres to the quality specifications, and complies with the applicable treaties, laws, codes, conventions, directives, regulations, rules, standards, policies, or best practices (“Laws and Best Practices”).
Commondi Agriculture & Food supplies cacao, coffee, corn, edible oils, fertilizer, flour, food manufacturing ingredients, grains, livestock feed, rice, salt, soybean, spices, sugar, used cooking oil, and frozen fruits, vegetables, and meats.
Commondi Metals trades aluminum, biofuels, coal, coke, copper, crude oil, gold doré, iron ore, nickel, refined fuels, steel, tin, and a variety of other minerals.
Commondi Trade Finance provides trade finance and supply chain finance solutions to our clients engaged in investment-grade Transactions by: (1) sending or receiving a proof of funds, blocked funds, or financial instruments, and (2) establishing a transaction credit facility or collateralized line of credit. Our supply chain finance team also offers financial solutions for supply chains of all sizes, including: (1) equipment financing, (2) inventory financing, (3) purchase order financing, (4) factoring, (5) reverse factoring, and (6) receivables financing.
Commondi Global Logistics manages the domestic and international shipment of almost any cargo type and size through our catalog of logistics services. Our holistic approach manages most cargo types across multiple shipping methods, including armored, air cargo, ground, intermodal, multimodal, ocean, pipeline, rail, and river barge. Our logistics catalog supports the shipment of: (1) parcels, (2) e-commerce, (3) small packages, (4) freight (i.e., large packages, LTL, LCL, etc.), (5) dedicated (i.e., FTL, FCL, dedicated aircraft or cargo ship, etc.), (6) specialty cargo (i.e., electronics, fragile, hazmat, heavy, oversized, perishables, refrigerated, etc.), (7) couriers, (8) hot shot delivery, (9) white glove logistics, and (10) reverse logistics.
Additionally, our clients may access our service vendor marketplace, which includes a vast network of packaging suppliers, warehouses, independent inspectors, customs brokers, freight forwarders, fulfillment centers, third-party logistics (3PL) providers, cargo security firms, and other experienced vendors.
Our Supply Chain as a Service team supports our clients who prefer outsourcing part or all of their supply chain management to a team with the expertise required to build a sustainable and scalable supply chain.
Our Commercial Trade Services team assists our clients engaged in commercial trade through a comprehensive suite of services, including: (1) Transaction assessments, planning, development, underwriting, and audit, (2) financial analysis, (3) compliance & risk administration, (4) security & intelligence administration, (5) commercial operations management, and (6) corporate giving programs.
Our team includes dynamic, talented, and precise professionals who are passionate about the continual advancement of humanity. One of the ways we accomplish this is by donating a minimum of 25.00% of our net income through Commondi Cares. These resources are donated to non-profit organizations engaged in innovative and meaningful progress as well as contributed to economic development initiatives that are oriented toward cultivating opportunity and self-sufficiency in developing communities throughout the world.
